Appearance
The Principality of Wy
Wy is a short pre-teen with almost no curves to speak of (not that that bothers her). Still, she is a pretty girl despite her small but bushy eyebrows. She has pretty, curly brown hair that's usually swept up in a side ponytail; her eyes are large and amber in color. She is often seen in shorts, sandals and a smock. A band-aid adorns her forehead; she wears it to mimic Australia.
Personality
Wy is, in a nutshell, a strange mixture. She is reasonable and mature, yet has an imagination that ofttimes boggles the mind. Like most girls her age, she tries to act older than she is, but because she's still at that awkward stage where she's half woman and half child she can't quite do it. This frustrates her greatly because she really wants to be seen not only as an adult but also as a respectable nation.
Still, she is pretty grown up for her age. She doesn't throw temper tantrums when she doesn't get her way and accepts most of what life throws at her. However, her hormones are in chaos at this phase in her life, so sometimes she gets worked up over the smallest, most insignificant things. That being said, she isn't emotionally unstable; rather she's a victim of that severe disease often called "being a teenager."
Of course, she couldn't possibly be related to England if she didn't have her own dark side. Though she keeps it in check, she has a fearsome temper. That combined with her severe impatience is a volatile mixture. Fortunately, it burns out fairly quickly, though the end result is usually a fresh batch of tears.
Wy also is reasonably intelligent. Bright and quick-witted, it's hard to pull the wool over her eyes. She isn't the most clever person, but she's hardly moving at snails' pace. With that intelligence also comes a certain level of cynicism. While she's hardly a hard-hearted, distrustful person, she does tend to doubt people upon initially meeting them.
She's also very stubborn and proud. While pretty open-minded, she is set in her ways and doesn't want to change them. She cannot accept charity and admit defeat of any sort. That makes it hard for her to emotionally connect to people. She's afraid of showing any sort of weakness for fear of being patronized or engulfed by the other nations. To her, the "real" nations are indomitable figures, and she's painfully aware that she's not.
That clashes almost violently with the airier facets of her personality. She tends to believe in the fantastic and has a singular fondness for things that defy the imagination. She loves soft, cuddly things, especially baby rabbits. She can be very gentle and kind, though only her animals ever really see it.

Fears~ Never Becoming a Nation:: It is, perhaps, the universal fear for all micronations, and Wy is no exception. There's nothing she'd like better than to be recognized by the other countries, but she's ever-fearful it will never happen.

History
The Creation of the Principality of Wy
Wy is in its fiftieth year. The Serene Prince Paul Ashton Delprat first identified himself as the Prince of Wy in 1960 when he portrayed himself in a self-portrait as a regal man clad in formal regalia. This persona would reappear throughout many of the Prince's artwork. The name "Wy" came from a nearby reserve.
The Exile of Wy
Wy has been in "exile" since 1993. It all started when the Prince wished to have a road built to allow vehicular access to his home. The Mosman Council (a superb in Sydney, Australia, in which Wy is located) unanimously approved of the venture, but there was a delay as repairs were made to the road to which the driveway would connect.
Then, in 1998, the Council accidentally zoned the area as bushland. That meant the road could not be built because it is not permitted for cars to drive on it. Though the Council decided to fix the error, the plans had to changed. Years' worth of delays ensued. The Council's officer waved all objections in 2004 but still advised refusal due to flaws in the latest attempt to fix the zoning errors in spite of a government officer who asked about the absence of the access way plans. This was the last straw.
The Secession of the Principality of Wy
Wy formally succeeded in 2004. On November fifteenth, Prince Paul, clad in regalia, declared his property's independence. The equally finely dressed mayor of Mosman accepted the the Formal Secession of The Principality of Wy. Of course, the problems didn't end there. In 2005, the Prince had to deflect an attempt to close his road. The following year, the Council finally voted to fix the errors. The Serene family still hopes that they will get their driveway.
